Happiness is February

Snow, sun, birthdays, fresh air, friends & candles! <3 Our 10 days with Victor now is over but you know they always come back ;) Santosh is in Nepal which means more work for me. Luckily my friends are helping me a lot to save time & relax.

Lunta, aurinkoa, synttäreitä, raikasta ilmaa, ystäviä & kynttilöitä! <3 Viktorin & mun yhteiset 10 päivää on nyt ohi, mutta aina heillä on tapana tulla takaisin ;) Santosh on Nepalissa, joka tarkoittaa lisää töitä mulle. Onneksi kaverit auttaa ajan säästämisessä & pitää huolen että välillä osaa ottaa rennosti.

Victor's just gonna have to come back because we still didn't managed to find Belgium French Fries in Salo. Not even close! / Victorin täytyy vaan tulla takaisin, emme meinaa löytäneet vieläkään belgialaisia ranskalaisia Salosta!

 With the help of Victor we made a birthday surprise for Saana. A little cake & her favourite cocktail Pina Colada! / Victorin avustuksella teimme Saanalle synttäriyllätyksen, pienen kakun & hänen lempi koktailin, Pina Coladan!

When my friend throws a color themed party & I get to officially play with the shock colors. The other side of my hair is purple & the other blue. / Kun pääsen tarkoituksellisesti leikkimään hiusväreillä & värjään puolet hiuksista siniseksi & puolet liilaksi. Pauliinan väriteemaiset synttärijuhlat täältä tullaan!

While Pauliina & I were busy, Victor prepared vegetables & fruits for the party! / Sillä aikaa kun Pauliinan kanssa oltiin super kiireisiä, Victor auttoi & valmisti kaikki kasvisket & hedelmät juhliin!

About my Valentine's Day: I had the best one ever! Usually I'm the one making an effort for someone; Baking, decorating, wrapping gifts & being busy & stressed over some surprises but this time I got to enjoy! After work I went to Turku. My Valentine Pasa & Radna had made me a Valentine's dinner. Heart-shaped momos!!! The Buzz restaurant was closed & only in our use. Later we drove to Salo & went sightseeing in Halikko tower & other secret places ;) I got a huge gift bag with full of love !/ Mun ystävänpäivä oli kyllä ikimuistoinen! Paras tähän saakka! Yleensä itse järjestän kaikkea, nään paljon vaivaa, leivon, askartelen, koristelen & stressaan yllätysten kanssa. Tällä kertaa sain itse nauttia. My Valentine, Pasa & Radna olivat tehneet mulle ystävänpäivä illallisen Turussa The Buzz:ssa, jossa saatiin olla ihan keskenään sulkemisajan jälkeenkin. Myöhemmin vielä ajettiin Saloon & ihailtiin maisemia Halikon vesitornilla & muissa salaisissa paikoissa ;) Sain vielä valtavan lahjakassin joka oli täynnä raukkautta!

....aaaaaaand we have a new couch! / ...jaaaaaa meillä on uusi sohva!

 Milka & I met through a friend & one night we were talking about party effects & light & how we both have all kinds of cool stuff but nowhere to put them. Then another night just chilling at my place we got into a conversation of how similar we are. We found out we're both extremely stereotypical Aquarius's & that we have the same birth day! So, we decided to have a birthday party together! More aobut that later ;) / Milka & mä tutustuttiin kaverin kautta & yksi ilta juteltiin bilevaloista & efekteista, & kuinka meillä molemmilla sellaisia on hyvin harvassa käytössä. Toisissa illanistujaisissa päädyimme juttelemaan siitä kuinka samanhenkisiä olemme, jolloin selviisi, että olemme hyvin stereotyyppisiä vesimiehiä & vielä samalla syntymäpäivällä! Päätimme siis pitää yhteissynttärit, joista paljon kuvia myöhemmin ;)

BELGIUM

I got used to having somebody at my apartment all the time so surprise surprise I´m hosting again! Victor came from Belgium in the end of August & had spent three months in Kuusamo helping in a Husky farm. He has visited Rauma, Pori, Rovaniemi, Turku, Helsinki & now it´s time for the Salo experience! :) 

     Victor is only staying for 10 days so he´s leaving the coming Sunday, after Pauliina´s birthday party. I´m very excited for February because that´s when the magic usually happens! I´ve already booked my next trip abroad, let´s get to that later! ;)

Tottusin siihen ajatukseen, että joku asustelee aina kämpässäni joten yllätys yllätys hostaan jälleen! Belgialainen Victor saapui elokuun lopulla & on viettänyt 3kk Kuusamossa husky farmilla. Hän on myös ehtinyt käymään Porissa, Rovaniemellä, Raumala, Turussa & Helsingissä, & nyt on Salo kokemuksen vuoro! :) 

     Victor asuu kanssani vain 10 päivää eli lähtee nyt sunnuntaina Pauliinan synttäribileiden jälkeen. Oon taas innoissani helmikuusta, meinaa sillon yleensä kaikki hauska tapahtuu! Nyt on seuraava ulkomaanmatkakin varattu, siitä ehkä myöhemmin ;) 

I´ve been playing with the shock colors purple & blue since forever & I love how everytime you get a different tone! Shokkiväreillä on tullut taas leikittyä & rakastan sitä kun joka kerta värisävy vaihtuu.

Hippie has been crashing at parent´s place & summer cottage. She´s so much happier in the country side. / Hippu on lomaillut porukoiden luona maalla, jossa se on paljon onnellisempi.

I've made a tradition of making my workawayers taste all of the Finnish food goodies like rice paddies, egg butter, mämmi, salmiakki, Fazer chocolate, blueberry rooster, ryebread & so on. / Mulla on tapana laittaa workawayt maistamaan suomalaisia herkkuja kuten karjalanpiirakoita, munavoita, mämmiä, salmiakkia, Fazer suklaata, mustikkakukkoa, ruisleipää jne.

Jess called me one night & was so excited for the little snow they got in Ireland :D / Jess soitti mulle yks ilta & oli innoissaan pienestä lumisateesta Irlannissa :D 

 My friend, who obviously loves beer had a birthday & I made him a cake of his dreams. xD / Mun frendi joka oletettavasti pitää oluesta sai multa unelmiensa synttärikakun. xD

BELGIUM / BELGIA

I´ve learnt so much about Belgium ! Such a small country but so many familiar products are from there, I´m amazed! Let´s start with the fact that French Fries are from Belgium & we´ve been trying to find the perfect ones from Salo. Beer plays a huge role in there & we've actually spotted many Belgium brands in Finland. Also there is no such a language then Belgium. They have three different official languages; French, Dutch & German.

Oon oppinut valtavasti Belgiasta, jossa itse en ole koskaan ennen käynyt. Vaikka maa on pieni, oon ollut yllättynyt siitä kuinka moni tuttu tuote & bräni on alunperin sieltä! Aloitetaan vaikka sillä faktalla, että ranskalaiset on alunperin Belgiasta! Ollaan yritetty löytää parhaat ranskikset Salosta, mutta toivottamalta näyttää. Kiinnostavaa on myös se ettei sellaista kieltä ole olemassa kuin belgia, siellä puhutaan virallisesti kolmea eri kieltä, ranskaa, saksaa & hollantia. Olut on tärkeä osa Belgian kulttuuria & täältä Suomestakin ollaan löydetty hyvin monia belgialaisia oluita! 

Victor spotted Hoegaarden beer glasses in my apartment & in Home Town he had a Belgium Leffe beer. / Victor huomasi mun kämpässä Hoegaarden merkkiset olutlasit & Home Town:ssa hän nautti belgialaisen Leffe merkkisen oluen.

Smurf are from Belgia! / Smurffit on Belgiasta!

I'm young, I'm able, I'm in a good shape, I have energy & lots of possibilities. It's easy for me to meet new people & go to places. I'm at the age where I don't have too many responsibilities or commitments to hold me back. I still have many years ahead of me (hopefully) & money has never been something i cherish. It will never be & it´s most likely I´m gonna choose some other kind of a "path" unlike most of the people. I'm very grateful for my jobs & it's awesome to have enough money to do fun stuff but from time to time I just wish it would'nt have to be that way.

     I could be thinking that I'm an adult now. I could be thinking that I need to work a lot & get a good pension but maybe I won't because the new generation, my generation has something totally different in their minds.
